As a member of the University of Cambridge's Development & Alumni Relations team and working alongside the Executive Director of CCI, the UCCRI Director and CCI partners, the Associate Director is responsible for executing the major gifts fundraising strategy for CCI. This post enables CCI to capitalize on its fundraising potential and achieves its ambitious vision for transforming the landscape of global biodiversity conservation. The Associate Director will implement a strategy to secure major philanthropic support for CCI's top priorities, including the needs of UCCRI, as the University of Cambridge's hub for interdisciplinary research and teaching in conservation. Support for CCI will have an enduring impact on research and practice in biodiversity conservation worldwide.
This role is an exciting chance to support the philanthropic development activities for the Cambridge Conservation Initiative; with enormous potential for the right candidate to work with pioneering academics in one of the most prestigious University's in the world and to gain experience working with leading international conservation organisations. Collaborative, strategic and innovative in approach, the Associate Director will be responsible for developing new, and building on existing, high-value partnerships with philanthropic donors. Key to success will be the ability to engage with high net worth individuals, senior level staff across CCI, academics and with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
This is a unique opportunity for a driven and entrepreneurial individual with a track record of success in major gifts fundraising as well as passion and enthusiasm for environmental conservation.
The funds for this post are available until 31 July 2018 in the first instance, with the possibility of further extension subject to the availability of additional funding.
