Robert provides support across the Centre in developing and implementing projects relating to multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and other intergovernmental processes. He helps to ensure that the Centre’s work provides direct support to the secretariats and advisory/governance bodies of those agreements and processes, and to implementation at the national level. Specifically, he manages and provides technical input to projects related to improving synergies between the implementation of MEAs, resource mobilisation for the Convention on Biological Diversity Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020, and mainstreaming biodiversity and ecosystem services into national policies. Previously Robert was a member of the Centre’s Climate Change and Biodiversity Programme where he supported the Centre’s work on climate change adaptation. He has an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Geography from the University of Cambridge.
