Potential of faeces for non-invasive assessment of Juan Fernandez fur seal and their environment.

Research

I am interested in exploring the potential of marine mammal faeces as a non-invasive tool to assess not only the species but also their environment. My focus is on investigating how the gut microbiota changes according to several factors including immunity and pollution. Is the microbiota a key component of the species adaptation?
