We provide a selection of the latest research for Conservation funding opportunities in the University and UK: focusing on major initiatives, but also including relevant small research grants, workshop and travel grants, prizes and awards, and individual fellowships and studentships. University of Cambridge/ affiliated institutions only ALBORADA Research Fund 2019 Awards of between £1,000-£20,000 for research costs, travel, and training activities in all disciplines that initiate or strengthen research collaborations with sub-Saharan African institutions. Deadline 2 Sept.

Joint BBSRC-NERC-GCRF Sustainable Enhancement of Agriculture and Aquaculture. To support the translation of research in Low and Middle Income Countries on the DAC list of ODA recipients in the Sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Asia and South-Eastern Asia regions. A total of £3.4m available, for projects lasting up to 24 months. Deadline 18 Sept.

GCRF Challenge Clusters – a two stage call that will provide seed funding for around 20 initial projects of up to £150k each, then £1m-£2m for 6-8 projects in a second stage. Challenge Clusters should bring together current/former GCRF projects, along with partners from NGOs, industry, charity, civil society and other policy makers to accelerate impact against a specific global challenge. Cambridge applicants please submit internal form to Research Strategy Office by 10 Sept. Funder deadline 24 Sept
