Game of Life

Competition of Life Workshop and Interactive Game

This is interactive event aimed at teenagers aged 14+ was originally devised by a Geography Doctoral Student to encourage participants to think about the long-term implications for society in the way we choose how to use the many finite and renewable resources on Earth. The game is overseen by two facilitators who guide and encourage discussion amongst the participants on conservation and how to work together to plan strategies for better managing the many resources we depend on in the real world. The facilitators on this occasion will be Professor Johan Rockström, who is being hosted by UCCRI and the University as the Humanitas Chair for Sustainability Studies, and Dr Harriet Allen, University Senior Lecturer and Physical geographer with a special interest in biogeography, Quaternary and environmental change.
