Ending bottom trawling, for seahorses and the seas

I will explain why we need to end bottom trawl fishing in the ocean, using a lens of research, management and policy. Our voyage begins with seahorse conservation and ends with a determination to stop this most destructive of fishing practices globally. We have conducted innovative research on bottom trawl fisheries around the world, from Mexico to Viet Nam and from India to China. Along the way we have uncovered the damage to species and spaces on a scale not yet exposed. We have also consulted with and studied the people involved, seeking new ways to reconcile conservation and human well-being. Project Seahorse is now forging new projects and partnerships to end this annihilation fishing.
