Centre for Global Wood Security Seminar / CRI Seminar

Dr Marielle Smith, University of Bangor

The structure, function, and resilience of (mainly tropical) forests under global change

Marielle’s work aims to understand the fate of forests in the face of global change, largely focusing on tropical forests in the Brazilian Amazon. Specifically, Marielle seeks to resolve key uncertainties associated with the responses of tropical forest structure and function to climate and land-use change and deploys a variety of approaches, from remote sensing to field observations, within the context of large, international collaborations.

The talk will be taking place from 1PM-2PM GMT on 3rd April. The seminar will again be taking place in the Manatee Room, David Attenborough Building and will be streamed on Teams (joining instructions below).
