ECR Writing Workshop - 14:00 on Friday 24 October in the Weston Seminar Room.
For those who haven’t attended a Writing Workshop before, these are 1-hour sessions that provide ECRs with opportunities to receive – and practise giving – feedback on short materials in a supportive and collegiate environment. Participants can submit short pieces of writing (<500 words) or a figure or table to review. You do not need to submit any work to attend and benefit from the workshop!
If you do have any short piece of writing, or tables or figures that you’d like to be reviewed, please upload these to the 24 October Folder in the ECR Writing Workshops Team channel before the start of the session. Remember:
- Please include your name and a short title in the name of any submitted files to help link feedback to you (unless you’d specifically prefer to remain anonymous, in which case send to Elspeth by email)
- Please make sure any writing is not too long – 1 page max. please
- You don’t need to be actively working on or submit any writing or other work to benefit from the workshop
If you have a presentation that you’d like to practise, that is also possible, please just let us know in advance.
If no-one submits any work, we will instead do a “writing workout”: a structured hour-long session dedicated to writing productively together.
