Welfare implications of conservation agriculture: Experimental evidence from Ethiopia

Using a set of multi-year randomized control trials in Ethiopia, we investigate how tailored plot-specific information about soil conservation practices affects adoption and welfare implications in the short and medium run. Results show that tailored information increased the likelihood of adoption of sustainable practices and this, in turn, improved land productivity for maize producers.
