The Conservation Science Lab Lunch is held every Wednesday from 1pm - 2pm. Richard Bradbury will be presenting  on the 17th June and will be talking about ‘The economic consequences of conserving or restoring sites for nature'.

Back in 2002, Professor Balmford found that conservation of natural habitats was economically better than conversion, once taking into account a fuller range of benefits than just those driving the change. But, the finding was based on evidence from a tiny sample of sites. Ever since, he’s fantasised about revisiting the question, with a bigger sample. I’ll describe our journey to that goal.
