Please join us for the launch of the new "GFS Food for Thoughts Coffee Break Seminars".

We aim to meet regularly on Fridays 2.30-3pm to learn from colleagues and external speakers, to discuss and exchange ideas, to network, and to have a coffee break together in a very relaxed and informal way.

Our first session will be this Friday 5 June at 2.30pm when Dorien Braam will share her work in progress on "Covid-19 impact on Zoonotic disease risk solutions in displaced populations" and her research trip in Jordan.

"Ms Dorien Braam is a Gates Scholar PhD student in Veterinary Medicine. Doriens looks at the prevalence of zoonoses - diseases transmitted between animals and humans - in displaced populations, addressing some of the most pressing global challenges of the next decade: climate change, displacement, and emerging infectious diseases."

Do join us for what will be a fascinating and enriching discussion with a cup of coffee.
