‘A Lot On Our Plate: Global Food Security in the 21st Century’ is a free student-organised conference hosted by St John’s College. The conference will unite world-leading academics, technology start-ups and NGO representatives to discuss how we can hope to feed the global population sustainably in an era of climate change.

The conference will feature keynote addresses from Professor Uta Paszkowski and Dr Shailaja Fennell as well as two panels: ‘Productivity to Policy: How to Feed the Global Community,’ (which, we are delighted to announce, will be chaired by our very own Head of Department, Professor Bhaskar Vira) and ‘The Future of Food: Innovating to Feed the World Sustainably.’ There will also be refreshments, samples of sustainable snacks and a free drinks reception!

Admission is free and open to all. Guests are welcome to come along for the whole afternoon or to attend specific talks.

All talks will be held 12:30pm-5:30pm on 14 February in the Palmerston Room, St John’s College .
