Professor Jeremy Wilson - RSBP
In this Thursday's weekly networking session, we will be joined by Professor Jeremy Wilson from RSBP. Jeremy will introduce RSPB as a conservation organisation, their geographical areas of focus, and the role of their Centre for Conservation Science within RSPB. He will also highlight their traditional scientific ‘model’ and capacities, and their recent and modest growth in social and earth sciences. Exploring the different collaborations that RSPB has fostered with CCI Partners, Jeremy will discuss the past/recent scientific collaborations between RSBP and CRI's academic staff and students. This session will conclude with a brief look forward to any potential future areas of collaboration to tee up discussion.
Jeremy is the RSPB's Head of Conservation Science in Scotland and is responsible for the strategic development of their science programme to inform conservation management, advice, policy development and advocacy, and for developing collaborations across the Higher Education, statutory and commercial sectors.
