Dr Lauren Gardiner will be running several events at the University Herbarium during the Cambridge Festival – with a virtual tour and live Q&A session and an online ‘How To’ transcribe specimens workshop on Friday 26th, a talk and live Q&A session about the 18thC Martyn collection with Edwin Rose (University Library) on Wednesday 31st March, and throughout the whole Festival will be running an online citizen science ‘transcription-a-thon’ to start crowd-sourcing the transcription of the herbarium using specimen images. Lots of colleagues have asked if they can help/get involved in the Herbarium over the last couple of years – all are very welcome to take part in any/all of these events!
